Cheeeeeze (cheezy smile, that is!)

After birth, Selah was in the NICU for 10 days. This is the first time Chloe and Abram met her.
Selah playing mini-golf with the family. The work involved in helping her to take part in activities seems to make those activities even more special for the whole family. I think it's one of those God's strength in our weakness things I'll never fully grasp!
This is Selah's lesion before surgery. It was very scary to see the first time and I was thanking God that we live in this day and in this place. Her doctors are excellent!
Selah standing in her standing frame. She's holding onto a reverse walker that her previous PT let her use.
This is the scooter that Luke built for Selah. It has been so helpful in our last house she could actually get down the hallway in it since her wheelchair couldn't really fit.
This picture is very special to me as it's the first time I got to hold Selah after her first revision surgery. In the midst of the questions, the pain, there was a Peace that passes understanding. I am so grateful that God allowed me the chance to be the mommy to this special girl!
Selah and I on a float in the St. Louis Variety parade. Variety Club has helped us with Selah and provide so much for those in need!
Selah's first fishing trip, she reeled her this beauty in with our good friend Mr. Beck (Becca Beck acutally caught the fish)
This is Selah just hours after birth. All those tubes and wires and, yes that is saran wrap around her middle! Those medical folks sure are creative. They said it's the best thing they've found to hold the bandages over the lesion.
These were Selah's first pair of AFOs. She wears these all day and they enable her to stand in her standing frame and keep her feet (relatively) straight and safe.
Here she is in the NICU. You can see how big her head is because of the Hydrocephalus. This was before her shunt surgery and after her spinal closure.
A little plug for our family's favorite resturaunt. Go Jos in KC, MO.
At Grant's Farm with Variety Club last summer, with Chloe, Abram and friends Noah and Ella.
Here she is in her Standing Dani. We love this piece of equiptment, as it enables her to be upright and helps her bone density and bowel and bladder function.
Our family on Christmas, 2007. We wish you many, many Merry Christmases!
