We're in!!! We moved in on 1-31 and are almost settled. Luke has a few more projects to finish up, but I'm not including pictures because we want you to come and see for yourselves!!
Here's the invite: The party's on 3/14. Please come!!!! It's been a long year and Selah's 4th bday is the next day, so we're ready to P-A-R-T-Y!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for all the love, support, help, encouragement, prayers, money and hard work!

Another one bites the dust! Another month gone... another year gone! The house changed a lot this month.. and we're finally onto the FUN stuff!! Our current goal is to be in by Feb. 14th... my goal is to spend Valentines Day with my hubby in our home on our couch in front of our fireplace! At this point, it's still a realistic goal, so please pray it stays that way! Here's the month in pictures:
Once drywall was finished, we hired out the mud & tape to save time.
It took a few weeks to prep the donated wood floors for installation. A group of guys from First Free came out, as well as some friends of Luke's from work.
Then, the wood floors were laid.
Selah loves the floors, as she can now do her ballet!
Luke's dad, who is a full-time missionary to southeast Asia, was home from Thanksgiving to Christmas and it was timed perfectly. Before becoming a missionary, he was a floor layer & he got to help with the floors. It really meant alot to Luke to have his dad able to be a part in the building.
After all that, the house needed a GOOD cleaning, so we took some time to scrub all the windows, pick up trash, organize tools, clean the garage, etc.
Then, the end of the month, the REAL fun: Painting!
At this point, we hope to be in sometime between Jan 31st and Feb 14th. We are so completely humbled by all the good that God has done. All the wonderful, willing vessles He has used are... well, wonderful! Our next update will hopefully be the last and then, you'll be receiving your Open House invitation! (We hope to be ready for an Open House by Selah's 4th b-day, March 15th!) May God bless you in 2009! |
